Mobile Phones Can Disturb Your Sleep

Since the introduction of mobile phones, concerns have been raised about the potential health impacts from regular use. Now, new research suggests that if you need to make a phone call in the evening it is much better to use a land line instead of a mobile phone. Most mobile phone use electromagnetic radiation in the microwave range that can have some sort of effects on us.

Using a mobile phone before going to bed could stop you getting a decent night’s sleep. Also, the researchers said they could not rule out the possibility that long-term use may raise the risk of cancer. The scientists found that:

884 MHz wireless signals components of sleep believed to be important for recovery from daily wear and tear are adversely affected. The suggestion is that radiation disrupts production of the hormone melatonin, which controls the body’s internal rhythms.
