Halt or stop linux firewall

A firewall is designed to help protect your computer from attack by malicious users or by malicious software (viruses that use unsolicited incoming network traffic to attack).

Also before you disable your firewall, you must disconnect your computer from all networks, including the Internet to avoid damage :D

You would like to Halt linux firewall or stop linux firewall (i.e. flush iptables rules). First login as root user.

Option A – If you are redhat Linux user type command:

If you are using Red Hat (RHEL) / CentOS / Fedora Core Linux, use the following command:

/etc/init.d/iptables stop

OR

service iptables stop

Option B – If you are Debian Linux user type following commands one by one

iptables -F
iptables -X
iptables -t nat -F
iptables -t nat -X
iptables -t mangle -F
iptables -t mangle -X
iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT
iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT

Google earth images created storm across India

Legally you are not allowed to take photos or visit military installation. However google’s earth allows to have eye on India Air Force (IAF) yelahanka base, HAL factory, PM’s house, parliament house other important location in country.
Googles new released images allows anyone to see all these important location. You can’t see sensitive location such as white house, but here it is displaying all sensitive location.
Government of India announced inquiry, as result of this google earth site may be get blocked if order by government. Check out google earth india image of Rashtrapati Bhavan and yelahanka base below:

According to googlecommunity

India seems to have lost Kashmir to Pakistan on Google Earth. Yes, that is how the map shows India-Pakistan borders.. Kashmir, India does not exist, but Kashmir, Pakistan exists.. the international borders shown have completely carved out Kashmir from India”. This is serious problem and remember Microsoft did same mistake and that cost them lot of money. Same thing can happen with Google.

Casino Goa in Goa is the only legal casino in India

Since gambling is not legal in India, you cannot go to Casino. There is Casino Goa. It is India’s only legalised casino located offshore in Panaji in Goa. Dunno how it was started.

It is a state of art entertainment cruise ship. The Caravela is home to India’s first ever high-limit live gaming casino ‘Casino Goa’.Designed to meet international gaming standards. It has around eleven tables of American Roulette, Blackjack and Paplu (Rummy) besides a few electronic slot machines. The yacht is 215 feet long (65.5 m) and can accommodate 300 people. A boat ferries passengers from the shore to the yacht. Themed restaurants, barbecues atop the deck and a swimming pool are some of the facilities on board. The ship is named after the first Portuguese ship that visited Goa in the 16th century. In 2007, State of Goa officials finally decided to expand the number of licenses for off-shore boating casinos tenfold in Goa to attract foreign tourists from the Arabian peninsula, and attempt to recreate some of the success of Macau, another former Portuguese colony. The state also has an eye on the large number of Indian gamblers flocking to neighboring Nepal, where gambling is legal. Visitors are expected to climb 20% this year, approaching 3 million.

I’m planning to pay visit by this year end :) however fees seems to little high!

Finally, there’s a cure for cold

The cold is the most common illness. By the age of 70, most of us will have suffered an average of 200 colds and spent three years coughing and sneezing. However, a new nasal spray called Vicks First Defence could change all that by stopping the sniffles before thy start and is being hailed as the biggest breakthrough in cold remedies for years. Intel india fires employee

Intel Technologies India has sent out 250+ employees to home. All of them are fire because of faking bills to claim allowances like conveyance, drivers’ salaries and LTA etc.

Intel India is recognized as a top employer in India, Intel placed in the top 10 rankings for both the “Best Employers in India 2004” survey and CNBC TV 18’s “Great Place to Work 2004” survey. The Intel Development Centre in Bangalore has about 2,700 professionals.

According to Time of India (TOI) “Intel set up an independent team to investigate claims, which then proceeded to take immediate action against the employees found guilty.“.

According to Intel, “the matter relates to code of conduct violation. Intel does expect very high standards of employee conduct and business ethics. Intel does not discuss personnel matters“.

Faking bills to claim your allowances and Corruption in public life is very common in India especially in government offices. However it is believed that private sector is free from Corruption and malpractice. Intel chose to crack down on the malpractice and that is good choice because corrupt people are very bad for any work. They can sell your top secret too. A new study by Transparency International ( TI ) brackets India with some of the world’s most corrupt nations. Of the 102 nations surveyed in 2001, India is ranked 72 (thay have also published 2004 survey).

My personal opinion is Intel did take correct action against all people involved in malpractice. Most of these people get paid five figure salaries and still they do all sort of malpractices. I’m sure Intel could have taken more serious actions against all of them but they have just opted to sack out them.

Air or electricity cannot be seen. It does not have a form.

But we can sense Air or experience the electricity.
